Library kids are terrific!
A library kid is always welcome to ask questions. Library staff is available to help you find what you need.
A library kid explores the library and finds a wide range of materials to experience the enjoyment of reading and the excitement of discovering knowledge and works of the imagination.
A library kid is respectful of other people also using the library.
A library kid walks in the library (running may cause injuries).
A library kid presents his/her library card when checking out library materials.
A library kid handles library materials carefully.
A library kid (along with a parent) under the age of 18 has completed a Permission Form for Access to the Internet for Juveniles before using the internet computers.
A library kid presents their library card before using the internet computers.
A library kid may use the Children's Computer up to one hour per day. This computer has games on it.
A library kid will wear a shirt and shoes at all times while in the library.
A library kid under 5 years of age must be accompanied by someone 13 years of age or older. Unattended children are not the responsibility of the library or its staff.
A library kid uses the Dewey Decimal System to search for subjects such as Birds, Dinosaurs, Space Flight, Jokes & Riddles, or Pirates.
- Every subject on the Dewey Decimal list has a number after it. That number is like an address. It tells you where the books are on the shelves.
- If there's a subject you can't find, or you need more information, ask a library staff member to help you.
